Accounting Specialist

This is a full time, possible Temp to Hire position, working with a fun group of people!  Qualified candidates must have the ability to think analytically and be excited about working in a fast paced environment

1-2 years of experience in an accounting role

  • Experience in a distribution environment a plus

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities

  • Must be able to work well both independently and as part of a team

  • Experience with accounting software and GAAP

  • Experience with Payroll processing, Paychex preferred.

  • Strong computer skills are highly preferred including Microsoft Outlook Suite

  • AA degree preferred, high school diploma required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Bank Reconciliation and cash management
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

  • Preparation of monthly/yearly journal entries

  • Assemble and distribute management reports as needed

  • Research, track, and resolve accounting problems

  • Code and enter Accounts Payable transactions

  • Perform account, bank, and other reconciliations

  • Calculate and submit Sales Tax payable

  • Help with the payroll processing

  • Monthly commission report preparation

  • Yearly physical inventory

  • Process month-end and year-end
