Maintenance Mechanic

A local client is looking for a Senior Maintenance Mechanic who will maintain production, quality and safety by ensuring machinery and mechanical equipment is properly maintained and repaired.  Pay is $20-$30/hr DOE.

Job Requirements:


  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
  • Ability to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications, troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand power tools
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques
  • Performs replacement of diagnosed faulty electrical elements of machine including motors, relays, and switches
  • Carries out diagnosis and corrects or replaces malfunctioning electronics
  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies by checking stock to determine inventory level
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
  • Ability to install conduit and wiring, work with 3 phase/480 voltage
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment



  • 7+ years of experience in a related role
  • Equipment maintenance expertise
  • Strong technical understanding
  • Ability to deal well with uncertainty
  • Basic safety knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience supervising others
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Knowledge of PLC's, CAD, pneumatics, hydraulics
  • Read and interpret blue prints and electrical schematics
  • Strong knowledge in industrial safety for the handling of equipment and machinery
