This role is essentially a senior accounting / finance operations position within a winery or wine production company. The person would oversee day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, inventory and manufacturing costing, compliance, and administrative support for leadership.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and handle month-end close activities
• Manage journal entries, reconciliations, bank statements, accruals, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets
• Track depreciation and maintain fixed asset systems
• Support audits, tax preparation, and financial reporting
• Handle revenue recognition, inventory costing, and contract/accounting reviews
• Improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Assist with winery-specific compliance tasks (TTB reporting, COLA certifications)
• Support executives with reporting and operational administration
• Analyze repair/maintenance expenses and other operational costs

Key Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of accounting experience
• Winery/wine industry accounting experience strongly preferred
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; CPA preferred
• Strong background in:
• inventory cost accounting
• manufacturing accounting
• winery/vineyard production costing
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks Enterprise or ERP systems
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Mandarin language skills are a bonus
