Machine Operator
Job Description
Guarantee the quality of the product from the beginning of the production, during and after each adjustment of the machine or changes in the material.
- Take notes as scheduled or indicated to perform analysis of the process and product variations, or to perform tests for analysis and improvement
- Considering quality first, must guarantee the continuity of production, with the maximum admissible yields for the process
- When in doubt or concern, regarding quality or production costs, you must stop machines or stop their activities, in order to avoid defective production or waste of material and time. Request the necessary help to resume the activity as soon as possible in the optimal conditions
- Participate in the analysis of causes and corrective actions for non-conformities, anomalies or improvements
- Move finished or material in progress with its corresponding documentation to the required areas to finished the process.
- Follow safety, cleanliness and organization of the area or machines, the sector in which you work and the common areas
- Comply with safety regulations and take responsibility to ensure the team follows them at all times
- Be able to read and understand work orders, manuals, technical procedures and follow written and verbal instructions.
Operate and maintain the machines and tools used to to do the work.
Be able to continuously learn and improve skills on the job.
Make suggestions to make improvements in the work area.
Be able to opérate the forming machine for an entire shift of 8 hours or more if needed.
Be able to solve problems by yourself and solve complex problems with the supervisor’s help.
Maintain work area clean and organized keeping supplies and tools needed to do the job easily accessible.
Follow and maintain the quality control standards according to product specifications.
Make maintenance requests to work on the machines or areas needing repair.
Must be able to stand and walk most of the time during the shift, stretch and have the ability to perform movements as required to be able to perform the job. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to coordinate hands and vision to control the printing equipment and produce good quality product.
Must be able to work independently, keep a positive attitude, maintain a positive work and team environtment, take initiative and be a leader.
