Job Description
We have a couple of openings in a Purchasing Dept.
Our clients are looking for a Purchasing Clerk and Purchasing Specialist. These roles would be a Temp to Hire opportunity. Must have computer skills- MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
Looking for candidates with at least 1-2 years of purchasing experience. Must be highly organized and can multi-task.
Basic duties include:
- Manage PO workbook
- Send purchase orders
- Assist with product development,
- Attend and participate in production meetings
- Attend and participate in R&D meetings
- Notify management of major pricing changes on raw materials
- Monitor costing
- Review/Run MRP
- Cross reference PO workbook/S&R Calendar daily
- Research and identify propective suppliers
- Evaluate products and suppliers
- Prepare proposals and request quotes
- Negotiate purchase terms and conditions
- Prepare purchase orders and agreements
- Track orders
Monday - Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm
Pay DOE: $19-$33/hr
Job Requirements
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking
- Problem solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
