Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Sanitation Technician I to join our graveyard shift team. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and utensils
• Follow sanitation schedules and complete assigned cleaning tasks
• Properly mix and use cleaning chemicals according to guidelines
• Dispose of waste and hazardous materials in compliance with regulations
• Inspect equipment and facility areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met
• Maintain indoor and outdoor areas (including docks, parking lots, and surrounding areas)
• Complete sanitation logs, checklists, and documentation
• Identify and report safety hazards or maintenance issues
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
• Read and follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemical handling

Work Environment:

• Warehouse setting with varying temperatures
• Loud environment with exposure to moving equipment
• Concrete floors (anti-fatigue mats provided)
• Required use of hearing protection and safety glasses
• Must follow GMP and SQF standards

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Repair or replace defective components through welding, mechanical adjustments, or electrical repairs following safety protocols.
• Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and ensure seamless manufacturing operations.
• Conduct residential painting and facilities maintenance tasks to maintain a safe and appealing environment.
• Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
• Supervise or assist with projects involving manufacturing equipment upgrades or installations while coordinating with team members or contractors.
• Lead or support team efforts in safety compliance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in manufacturing or facilities maintenance environments.
• Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting and repair, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
• Hands-on welding skills for repairing metal components and structures.
• Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately.
• Excellent leadership skills with supervising experience in maintenance teams or projects.
• Customer service mindset with effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
